About the role:

As the successful applicant, you will undertake a range of administrative support functions within the Knox Business Services Centre.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintenance and management of accurate administrative and financial records and registers.
  • Undertake routine financial management of purchasing transactions and the verification and processing of invoices.
  • Understand routine administrative tasks such as filing, archiving, and ordering office consumables.
  • Book travel for Victoria Police employees.
  • Provide a high level of financial and administrative assistance and advice via phone and email to employees, members of the public and other agencies in accordance with the Victoria Police and Government policy and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment with a strong customer focus.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a role that required you to complete routine financial and purchasing transactions.
  • Ability to maintain systematic and accurate financial, payroll or administrative records in a confidential environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with the capacity to prioritise work and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Developed keyboard skills using Microsoft Office suite

Requirements and relevant information:

  • There is a full time, ongoing position available, 20010327.
  • Position is located at the Eastern Region Headquarters, Knox (420 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South).
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
