We are looking for talented, passionate, primary teachers and teachers of English as foreign language, to join the Lviv British School, a brand-new school, from the 1st September 2023.
The Lviv British School is a state-of-the-art school, built to the highest standards, with superb facilities, including sports courts, climbing wall and a swimming pool. This school, in an exclusive area of Lviv, is committed to being the best school in Ukraine.
You will need to commit to a minimum of a one-month contract, although, suitable candidates may be invited to remain in post for longer. You will be given free accommodation in an apartment and meals will be provided, Monday to Friday. Return flights will also be included, subject to successful completion of the contract. You will join a friendly, dedicated teaching team, with a number of British staff, including the co-founder and Director of Education.
Lviv, in the North West of Ukraine, is a beautiful city. It has friendly people, great nightlife and good transport connections to the rest of Ukraine, Poland and Romania. This post is well suited to teachers who want to travel and explore Eastern Europe, benefitting from the very low cost of living.
What will you be doing?
You will plan and deliver high-quality, English lessons to primary-aged, Ukrainian children. You will be supported by the wider teaching team, and the senior staff. You will tailor the existing curriculum materials to the needs of your pupils in dedicated non-contact time. You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pupils, at all times. You will communicate the progress of your pupils to the headteacher and the parents of your pupils. When you are not teaching your classes, you will support teaching and learning in classes across the school.
If you have strong interests in the arts or sports, we will provide opportunities for you to teach these subjects too.
Successful teachers will be offered contract extensions or opportunities to work in other schools across the group.

At the end of your contract, you will have made a difference to our children. You will have a greater knowledge of the teaching of English as a foreign language, and will have benefitted from the experience of our senior staff. You will have an appreciation of the culture of Ukraine and have a network of friends across our company. We hope you will take away lasting memories.
Who will you be working with?
We own a group schools, which operate across Europe. You will join a new team of teachers, working with experienced co-founders and school senior leaders. The school staff will grow rapidly, due to the high demand for places at the Lviv British School. You will work in a team where all staff speak fluent English, and with a number of British staff.
What is required?
· Available to start work from the 1st September 2023.
· You will be a native English speaker.
· You will have completed an appropriate TEFL, or similar qualification.
· A willingness to work with primary aged children.
· A commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of our pupils.
· A can-do attitude and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our pupils.
