- The Innovation Product Lead role is an opportunity to innovate brand marketing and go-to-market models to extend competitive advantage and achieve our aspiration to be the best marketers of science and technology and to make Pfizer the most trusted brand. This is a new role within Biopharma, reporting into the Global Development Center Lead, China.
Success in this role will include the successful scaling of proven disruptive innovation. Ideal candidates are obsessed with the voice of the customer and strive to work smarter, not longer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop innovation prototypes used to test, learn, and quickly iterate; must quickly problem solve to diagnose and optimize innovation
- Lead cross-functional team to own and co-create user centric solutions, alleviating a pain point
- Represent the voice of the customer/business with respect to product and feature development
- Conduct detailed analysis of impact vs. value to create a best-in-class feature list
- Provide quarterly stage-gate updates to senior leaders detailing progress against pre-determined standards; goal is to gain approval and additional funding to proceed or launch innovation
- Implement innovation in pilot market, creating a plan to adapt to further markets and scale globally
- Act as a key enabler in building a strong culture and driving the CMOs disruptive innovation agenda
Qualifications
- Experience (10+ years) in positions of go-to-market innovation with proven track record, especially in product development roles covering conception through implementation
- Deep curiosity about the most impactful customer and company problems-to-solve
- Willingness to experiment, and comfortable creating a 'fail fast, learn fast' culture
- Have courage to provide objective opinions, especially when evaluating go/no-go innovation decisions
- Knowledge of Agile values, principles, and practices
- Demonstrated ability to bring voice of the customer by understanding customer journeys
- Demonstrates a human-centered mindset - being obsessed with the customer
Required basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design and Lean Start-up
- Role model for the PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy)
- Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
- Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills
- Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information
- Ability to coach agile teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- Experience launching disruptive innovation in a customer-centric industry
- Role will involve multiple geographies, but requires flexibility to work with US time-zone on regular basis
